Raychell (レイチェル) was born on January 13, 1985 in Japan. She is the vocalist and bassist of RAISE A SUILEN and also voices Wakana Rei. She is currently affiliated with Rhythm Zone, while her singing activities are signed under Ace Crew Entertainment. Her former stage name was Lay.
Background[]
Raychell debuted as a solo singer on June 2, 2010 under the avex label with the single "Kono Ai de Aru You ni". She then sang multiple songs for different anime and movies, such as Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, Travelers: Jigen Keisatsu, the Tamagotchi anime series and Cardfight!! Vanguard G: NEXT.
Raychell used to host a radio corner on NACK5 called "R World Radio" every Wednesday since late 2010; Otsuka Sae used to be a frequent quest in the show, and Shizaki Kanon was her second assistant. The final broadcast for the show aired on March 30, 2022.[1] She currently hosts a radio show called Raychell no Entame LOVERS♡ (English: Raychell's Entertainment LOVERS♡) (RaychellのエンタメLOVERS♡) every Friday (Airs at 20:00 GMT+9) on FM Odawara 87.9 MHz.[2]
She held her 10th anniversary concert, "R" WORLD Special Live "I am... RAYCHELL" on April 10, 2021 at KT Zepp Yokohama.[3]
With the band SHAZNA officially reuniting in August 2017 for their 20th anniversary, she is one of the three new members.
Similarly to Natsume, Raychell had no experience in voice acting prior to her role as LAYER. She is also known for voicing:

- Hanakaze Elena in Jouran: THE PRINCESS OF SNOW AND BLOOD
Personality & Hobbies[]
Due to her motherly personality, the other members of RAISE A SUILEN often refer to her as the band's "mother".[4]
Raychell loves hot drinks and often posts pictures of them on her Twitter.
When posting and talking about her everyday activities and non-work related things on Twitter, she uses the #ちぇるの戯言 (Cheru no Zaregoto/Chell's Nonsense) hashtag.
Raychell owns four cats named Maetel (メーテル), Kotetsu (小鉄), Makkii (マッキー) and Shachou (社長).[5]
She also started posting covers on her YouTube channel "Raychell Tube" starting from October 2022, with some of them being songs that have covers in Girls Band Party! such as Charles, KING and Shin Jidai.
